What Plans Do We Offer?

*HMO (Health Maintenance Organization):

An insurance plan that typically have a lower cost compared to other insurance plans. HMOs have their own network of doctors, hospitals, and providers that follow a predetermined set of guidelines.

*PPO (Preferred Provider Organization):

Similar to HMO, however with PPO plan members can see any health care provider within the company’s network, without a referral. Members may also see out of network doctors, however the costs may be higher than an in-network doctor.

*Medicare:

A federal health insurance program for People 65 and older Certain People under 65 with disabilities People of any age with End-Stage Renal Disease (ERSD). There are four parts to Medicare, Part A, B, C, and D. Part A provides inpatient/hospital coverage. Part B provides outpatient/medical coverage. Part C encompasses Part A, B, and D. Part D provides a stand alone drug plan. Medicare also has the option for supplements. When you first enroll in Medicare and during certain times of the year, you can choose how you get your Medicare coverage. There are different ways to get Medicare covered plans.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT PART OF MEDICARE?

MEDICARE PART A (HOSPITAL INSURANCE) HELPS COVER: Inpatient care in hospitals Skilled nursing facility care Hospice care Home Health care

MEDICARE PART B (MEDICAL INSURANCE) HELPS COVER: (You can get a penalty if you do not have Part B when you turn 65 if you do not have credible coverage, for example from an employer group insurance) Services from doctors and other health care providers Outpatient care Home Health care Durable medical equipment (like wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other equipment and supplies) Many preventive services (like screenings, shots, and yearly “Wellness” visits)

MEDICARE PART C (MEDICARE ADVANTAGE): All in one alternative to original Medicare.These bundled plans include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D. (Part A + Part B + Part D = Part C). Some Plans may have lower out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare. Some plans offer extra benefits that Original Medicare doesn’t cover – like vision, hearing or dental, over the counter items. Your Part B Premium pays for the Part C Premium so there is not extra charge to you. If you are Full Medi-Medi (Medicare/Medi-cal) your Part B Premium is usually waived and you can get a Plan C that coordinates with your Medi-cal coverage’s, giving you extra benefits.

MEDICARE PART D (MEDICARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG COVERAGE): : (You can get a penalty if you do not have Part D when you turn 65 if you do not have credible coverage, for example from an employer group insurance) Helps cover the cost of prescription drugs Run by Medicare-approved drug plans that follow rules set by Medicare May help lower your prescription drug costs and help protect against higher costs in the future.
